The BBMP has issued a circular dated 22-10-2016 and directed its revenue authorities to collect the BETTERMENT/IMPROVEMENT CHARGES on the full extent (undivided or sub divided) Properties.

The charges can be paid within one year.  1.5% interest is chargeable on the betterment/improvement charges for the delayed period.

It is only applicable for the full or the entire size or extent of the land converted by the Official Memorandum of the Deputy Commissioner.


Sub divided or sub numbered or bifurcated properties are not eligible under this order.  All the other properties must await the AKRAMA SAKRAMA.

If you pay money and get the katha, legally it is void and it can be cancelled for the wrong information or misrepresentation of facts and lose the (extra paid to the agent) and the Katha stands automatically cancelled.
